In the heart of Atlanta's historic Druid Hills District.
The Adair Estate is a charmingly landscaped, five-acre enclave of 15 condominiums featuring traditionally designed 2 to 5 bedroom units with exquisite details. Located at the northeast corner of Ponce de Leon Avenue and Springdale Road (Map), it is in Atlanta’s Druid Hills Historic District, and the attendance zone of Springdale Park Elementary School.
The Adair Estate was initially created for Forrest Adair Sr. (1864 – 1936), an Atlanta civic leader who, among other things created the system of Shriners Hospitals for Children throughout the country. Forrest Adair built the 15,082 square foot Adair Mansion and its adjoining 2,800 square foot Adair Carriage House in 1909-1910.
After falling into disrepair, the estate was purchased by Historic Developments LLC in the mid-1990s, who ultimately completed a significant restoration and conversion of the mansion (into five condo units), the carriage house, and added 3 new structures with a total of 10 condominium units within the 5-acre estate. All totaled, the Adair Estate includes 15 Unit Owners.
The Adair Estate amenities include an on-site concierge, a fitness area with sauna and restroom facilities, shared outdoor landscaped areas along with private garden space with many of the units, and a guest apartment for overnight condo visitors.
